This service includes:
-Evaluation of the entire property or the specific areas that you would like to landscape.
-A brief interviewing process to determine your likes/dislikes. This will help our landscape designer figure out what you would really enjoy in your landscape.
-Our designer will then assess the sun/shade, soil properties and possible biological problems (deer/rabbit/voles).
-Once the property has been assessed, our designer will suggest the best possible plant species to accommodate your needs and interests, as well as the physiological features of the plants.
-Once the consultation is completed, a second appointment may be scheduled at Fairview so you can see the plants in person. Doing so will help you get a better understanding of the colors and textures of the individual plants, plus see how the different plants work together.
This service includes:
-Evaluation of the entire property or the specific areas that you would like to landscape.
-This service will select specific plants (and take out any guess work), unlike the One Hour Consultation which provides you with a list of plant varieties to choose from.
-Our designer will meet you on site for a formal interview. At this time our designer will decipher your landscaping needs and wants.
-Next, our designer will assess the sun/shade, soil properties and possible biological problems (deer/rabbit/voles).
-Measurements of your property and house will be taken so that a scale base map can be drawn.
-Pictures of the property may be taken for reference while working on the design.
-More than one visit to the site might be necessary, but is not typical.
-Our designer will generate many ideas for bed lines and planting arrangements while going through the design process. At this point in the design process, you are welcome to look over the rough sketches and decide whether we are generating ideas that you find pleasing.
-Once the design is completed, a meeting will be scheduled either at your property or at Fairview. If the meeting is held at your property, a review of the master plan will first take place followed by a walk through of your property to show you where the plants will actually be placed. Although, a meeting at Fairview is highly recommended so you may see the plants that have been chosen. Doing so will help you get a better understanding of the colors and textures of the individual plants, plus see how the different plants work together.
