Toad Lilies

Toad lilies are an underrated flowering perennial for shade gardens. Maybe it’s the name, which does not do it justice!

The plant’s pale green foliage grows from 18-24 inches in height. The blooms, which make an appearance in late summer, resemble small orchids that are creamy white with purple or burgundy spots.
