Phlox

You will know spring has sprung when you see a creeping phlox (Phlox subulata) trailing over curbsides. A homeowner favorite, this low growing perennial forms mats of white, pink, and lavender-blue color with evergreen foliage. It likes to grow in full sun areas and will reach up to 6 inches in height.
