Salvia

Salvias can be both annuals and perennials. They flower in shades of red, purple, white, blue and pink and perform best in the sun. Salvias are pollinator favorites, but hummingbirds, in particular, enjoy the tubular flowers they produce and the foliage is wonderfully aromatic!

Some popular perennial types of salvias are meadow sage (Salvia sylvestris), Mexican bush sage (Salvia leucantha) and black and blue salvia (Salvia guaranitica).
