Mandevilla

The Mandevilla is a tropical vine that is commonly grown as a houseplant, especially in temperate regions. Its fine pointed leaves are deep green with a glossy sheen. When planted outdoors, the tubular flowers are perfect for attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. Mandevillas are extremely cold-sensitive, yet, tolerant of coastal conditions.

They prefer moist, well-drained soil, sparse foliage, and plenty of water during the summer months. If kept indoors, be sure they have access to bright indirect light, average room temperature, and high humidity. Mandevillas bloom beautiful, funnel-shaped flowers in a variety of colors such as pink, red, white, and yellow.
